At Hampton we truly believe in making learning fun and helping kids to think outside the box. As we all know, you are "never too old" to learn and the same holds true for "never too young". Our kids are amazing and they bring their own levels of enthusiasm to the table when exploring new ideas. It is our intent to expose our children to learn passively at a young age doing things they would normally do. We play with a purpose; a purpose to learn. Through this basic idea we are able to keep children of all abilities motivated and eager to be involved in the learning process. Our Learning Coaches and their assistants are also very attentive in ensuring that our children are developing in all areas especially socially and academically. We promote a safe, clean and healthy environment.
The learning experiences in our curriculum are intended to help children progress toward a smooth transition into primary school and their environment. We use a Multi Sensory& Blended Method Approach. Our Multi Sensory Approach utilizes all the senses to relay information to the students. It is important to address all of a child’s senses particularly via visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic methods. It is our responsibility to expose our children to different learning opportunities in order for them to thoroughly embrace new concepts. Our Blended Approach mixes different learning environments and combines traditional face-to-face classroom methods with modern technology-mediated activities. Our students will be taught various skills passively with games and observation; other skills may need to be taught directly. Academic, Social, Physical, Emotional and Fine & Gross Motor Growth will be monitored and recorded via our “Passport System”. At the end of your child’s journey through our curriculum your child would have explored all of the following areas and be ready for 1st Grade with confidence. 1. Language Development 2. Literacy 3. Math 4. Science –Learning About their World 5.Creative Expression 6. Social and Emotional Development 7. Physical Health Development
